Infrared sauna-do you know the benefits?
1. Detoxification: When you sweat in a sauna, the body often releases toxins from unwanted toxins that linger in our bodies. Environmental or air pollutants and skin-care products are common toxins excreted from the body in a sauna.
2. Immune System Boost: While more research is needed in this area, anecdotal evidence (patients’ self-reports) in this study indicates that using a sauna regularly may decrease the frequency of catching a common cold.
3. Inflammation Reduction: Heat from the infrared light penetrates deep into the body, causing blood vessels to dilate and improving blood flow. Enhanced blood flow helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to inflamed areas and promotes healing, lowering inflammation.
4. Pain Management: Pain can be reduced by improving blood flow, relieving inflammation, relaxing the muscles and joints, and increasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers.
5. Improved Sleep & Recovery: Many sauna users sleep better after evening sauna use. This may be explained by how the body naturally attempts to cool down after sauna use- the body naturally cools down after, promoting healthy sleep.
6. Stress Relief: Sauna use is an exercise in its own right; although it is more passive, it reduces stress.
7. Skin Health: Applying NIR on the skin in a sauna has been shown to improve skin tone and texture by increasing collagen and elastin production, a result red light therapy produces..
8. Improved Heart Health and Decreased Blood Pressure: When studied in the laboratory, this therapy shows decreased blood pressure, as reported by the Cleveland Clinic (2022).
9. Calorie Burn: Combined with diet, exercise, or other avenues, this is a great supplemental tool for your weight loss journey.
10. Improved Energy Levels: By nature, improving blood flow

We had the honor to visit Ponte de Lima Equestrian competition-so many gentle& giant at the same time souls, been lucky to visit paddocks& cuddled some horses-respect to all equestrian & organisers-great job! If you don’t move and feel your best, feel stiff or sore, lack the stability and mobility-you might be experiencing fascia adhesion.

Why I teach that movement is medicine, incorporating any movement into your practice can enhance your performance& we should move daily( not only exercise)

1. By incorporating fluid movement patterns through multiple planes we can unlock a stronger, healthier, and more resilient body and mind-establish the fascia flow.
2. The balance between the abdominal and back muscles promotes efficient movement patterns, allowing for greater spinal mobility and an increased range of motion.
3.. Strong body center supports dynamic movements, allowing the back to adapt more freely to various physical demands, ultimately improving overall stability & flexibility by reducing the risk of injury.
4. Dofferent forces affects fascia which directly affect the bone architecture& density.

This empowers the body to do, what it does so well, heal itself.

(Let’s talk 21. century-our movement patterns changed drastically over past 100 even 50 years, as well as our posture, now we know about the importance of fascia, having more methods for diagnostic& treatments etc..The science progresses rapidly etc. so make sure your trainer, instructor is up to date with those)

Even it was just few days🎿🚡❄️🌨️it felt two good to be back to snow-luckily my body remembered snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing but oh boy I could feel my muscles the next day-so different movement-where are those teaching years and seasons spent inda mountains😋🗻☃️
Greatfull that all worked out in such a short notice and we been lucky with amazing weather and crispy snow!
Mum’s dogs been the happiest 💯.
